Get your elders and staff on the same page, speaking the same language, and working on the same goals.

The most impactful asset a church has is the people working in it. Whether it’s a staff team or volunteer team, getting everyone on the same page is essential to the mission. Mike has worked with church leaders of different denominations and sizes to get their staff and elders working better together. Let us help your church do the same!

WORKSHOPS

SURVIVAL ISN'T THE GOAL

When a church makes decisions based on the latest problem or the fire that needs to get put out, those are almost always what we call reactionary decisions. But at Church Helper, we know the more proactive decisions a church can make, the more people it's going to reach with the message of Jesus. So in this workshop, we'll talk about the difference between proactive and reactive decisions, we'll use real examples of each from your church, and then we'll talk about ways that decisions can be made differently in the future so that your church starts making proactive decisions regularly. By the end of the workshop, you'll have a framework for proactive decision-making, as well as things to look out for when you're starting to make reactive decisions.

CHILDREN AND THE FUTURE OF THE CHURCH.

I can't count the number of times I've heard the phrase: "Children are the future of the church." But, do you really know what you're saying in this statement? Who are the children? when exactly is the future? and what is... or better yet WHO is the church? When someone says, "Children's are the future of the church," but they can't define any of these terms, there's no way to plan for the future properly. How could you know what plans to make when you don't know who, or when, or what to prepare for? It's pretty hard. And that's why I'd encourage you to consider bringing your elders, staff or volunteer teams through this workshop. We'll work through the three questions: Who are the children? When is the future? What is the church? In the end, you'll not only leave with a clear understanding of how you want your younger members to be a part of your church community but also how to make decisions that benefit them for now and for the future.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A MISSION AND A METHOD

Knowing the difference between a Mission and a Method on the surface isn't that difficult. The mission is your purpose or your why. And the Methods are how you accomplish the mission. We've actually already created a bunch of free learning materials on this topic that you can find on our Youtube Page or our Podcast. And I would encourage you to check out those free materials right away, but here's why we think you should also consider a workshop for your staff, elders or volunteer teams. It's easy to say, "start with your Mission, and end with your methods," but the reality is the decision-making process in most churches doesn't work that way. Even though people know it should. That's why we designed our workshop to talk about the theory, and how to apply it in your specific context. The workshop is highly interactive, specific to your church (because we'll get some background on your first), and leaves your team with a framework on how to make every decision, big or small, on purpose and mission-focused.

HOW GENERATIONS EXPERIENCE CHURCH DIFFERENTLY

In this workshop, our goal is to bring a group of people from all generations together and have a conversation that helps each generation learn something new about the other. We'll take the time to define each generation and talk about some of their tendencies and traits. We'll show how when two generations experience the same event, their views and conclusions aren't always similar. And we'll talk about how all this affects the church and the decisions it makes. So, if you'd like your church to look a little more multi-generational, then click the link to get in touch with us with any questions you might have or book a worship date. We want to give you the confidence that every decision you make will help your church grow and bring people closer to Jesus – no matter what generation they are a part of.

SHOULD YOU CHANGE YOUR MUSIC?

Whether your church has contemporary or traditional music, you've probably had a conversation about changing your music at least once. Sometimes this conversation starts because of a demographic change and personal preference; sometimes, it's because people think that newer music equals newer people, and sometimes It's because they don't know what else to try. And I'm here to assure you that starting the conversation from any of those places isn't going to have anyone feeling good in the end. But, just because it's a tough conversation doesn't mean it shouldn't be had. And to help, we've designed a highly interactive workshop that will help your church understand the impact of music on a Sunday morning. As a group, we'll look at various genres and options and start a helpful conversation that will give your church the confidence it needs to make this decision well and communicate that decision clearly to others in your congregations
