ABOUT MIKE

Mike’s journey in ministry began at the age of 18 when he was attending Emmanuel Bible College and was asked by a pre-launch church plant to form a youth ministry. Since then, Mike has been serving churches and connecting people young and old to Jesus Christ. Through multiple denominations and roles, Mike has found the most joy in entering new environments, asking questions, and finding new and exciting ways to reach the next generation. His background as a small business owner combined with working in ministry gives him a unique perspective on how churches can clarify their mission, and make an impact in their communities.

Mike is the father of Waverley and Renleigh, husband to Lauren, and a passionate hockey fan. When he’s not working, you might find him playing at the park with the girls, watching reruns of The West Wing, or making sure his garden edges look just right.

ABOUT LAUREN

Lauren’s call into ministry happened in high school, where she started her local Christian club and lead in various areas of her church. Lauren always had a passion for law and had a tough decision to make when her teenage mentor suggested she consider church ministry vocationally. After completing her BA in Business and Legal Studies, she took a break from school and accepted the position of Christian Education Coordinator at her local church. Lauren fell in love with the work. For the past 8 years, Lauren has been passionate about transforming the way people consider Family Ministry, championing faith formation at home, and using her out-of-the-box creativity to form ministries that have a lasting impact.

Lauren is a mother to Waverley and Renleigh, wife to Mike, and passionate about DIY projects, and true crime podcasts. When she’s not working you’ll find Lauren decorating her home for the seasons, cooking new vegetarian dishes, and thrift shopping.
